Leftinistra Eating Crow

ANO

I find it curious that the Leftinistra are constantly relying on the ever mysterious one that cannot be named...
[...] But the Pentagon researchers found no documents that referred to a plan to kill Bush. The absence was conspicuous because researchers, aware of its potential significance, were looking for such evidence. "It was surprising," said one source familiar with the preparation of the report (who under Pentagon ground rules was not permitted to speak on the record). Given how much the Iraqis did document, "you would have thought there would have been some veiled reference to something about [the plot]." [...]
Interesting isn't it? The above cited excerpt is from the anonymous writer of the editorial piece from the Huff and Puff. The article is talking about the The Iraqi Perspectives Project -- Saddam and Terrorism: Emerging Insights from Captured Iraqi Documents where the assassination attempt on President George H.W. Bush during a trip to Kuwait in the Spring of 1993 is "mysteriously" missing.

The anonymous author, in their editorial, has now officially questioned the authenticity of the "alleged" plot which was confirmed by President Clinton. The reason the plot is now questioned is because another anonymous person that is "familiar with" the preparation of the report said that a link was not found. Therefore, using the typical Leftinistra logic, if the attempt was not documented by the IIS, naturally, it never happened.

I have one word for that. Pathetic. What these poor straw graspers fail to realize is that originally, it was reported that millions of documents had been captured and it would take 7 to 10 years to correlate them all. The recently released report has only ciphered 600,000 of these documents and the title of the report clearly specifies and "emerging insights". There is still more to come.

Another curiosity in all of this is the fact that the lame Leftinistra are attempting to distract from the real issue with a non-issue, trying to make a non-issue an issue. I can just hear it now: "Seeing that there is no direct evidence that Saddam Hussein tried to have President HW Bush assassinated, there is no reason to believe that any other alleged illegal activities of Saddam Hussein are true either."

Pathetic. Perhaps the sorry anonymous author should take the time to read the 94-page report. In that report and the 4 volumes of supporting documentation, one will see why the assassination attempt is being discussed. It is another straw man. So much evidence nailing Saddam Hussein to the wall and completely justifying the completion of the 1991 Persian Gulf War is evident. It has just got to sting that badly to try and come up with yet another ignorant non-issue.

Over at memeorandum, there are still listed those that now have egg on their faces for swallowing the leaked data from this report that was not yet released at the time. They plunged at the story line that there were no "direct links" to Saddam. Silly goons.

I have just completed, for the third time, Ray Robison's book Both In One Trench. I'll be reading it again so I won't be misquoting that which I already knew about before I read it but didn't know why...completely. Much of the 94-page report is nearly exactly the same as Ray's book. I find this astounding and at the same time refreshing. If you haven't read the book yet or the report, it will behoove you to do so. Then, you won't sound like the anonymous putz at the Huff and Puff.
