Not only was he an idiot back in the Winter Soldier Hate America socialist dimb-ass club in the 70s with Hanoi and now Jihad Jane, he hasn't much "progressed" intellectually past the intelligence level of whale dung since.

While I am at it, John Kerry should be indicted on War crimes that he himself admitted to way back when and he should be now brought up on charges of defrauding the United States, libel and defamation of character of thousands of vets. Why? Because recently, the Winter Soldier debacle has been proven to be false and packed with lies. But, Kerry is a Leftinistra liar and that is considered to be a Badge of Honor for that ilk. Alas! I digress.

Here is a map that depicts what happens when there is a True Conservative running for the Presidency of The United States. John McCain needs to know that we Reagan Era Conservatives will be watching him like a Hawk. I have read and re-read his speech at CPAC. I have watched and re-watched the video of the speech many times. His body language revealed a tenseness yet a relaxed demeanor. He knows that we are not pleased with him and he also knows that we will pounce and trounce as the need arises. He may get in for 4 years but if he intends to be in the White House for an additional 4 years, he KNOWS he will have to pass muster. Having said this, we at A Newt One say to the purists:

We used to be one of those - a purist. We strongly desire to have an economic conservative, a social conservative and a National Security conservative. At the moment, we don't have any of those that have stepped forward, at least not one that didn't scare the hell out of the media and the anti-American socialists in the Dishonorable Halls of Congress, thus, not getting the "fair and balanced" media coverage.

Historically, we have only seen one of those ascend to the Presidency and that was Ronald Reagan. At this juncture, I call that a fluke - at least until another dares to emerge. Ronald Reagan did not just one day appear and there we were with conservatism at the top. It took time. By the same token, the socialists that have risen to power while a good portion of the conservatives sat on their asses and let them grow, rose to the fore over a long period of time...incremental creeping socialist fascism is on the brink of full blown control of this country and we cannot allow that to happen. PERIOD.

Pragmatically and realistically, we must, now, begin the long process of waking up, getting involved in the local and state levels and rebuild that which we allowed the socialists to destroy via political correctness, multiculturalism and identity politics. It is going to take time. Let this be the warning shot across our bows, people. Make no mistake - Sen John McCain is indeed no Reagan Era Conservative but he is most assuredly a far cry better than Hillary "The Rodham" Clinton or Barak Hussein Obama will be. I am tired of the "settle-for" President also and GWB was our "settle-for" in opposition to Al Gore of John Kerry. Correct? Yes. That is correct. Repeat after me..."Yes. That is correct. GWB was a far better choice than Gore or Kerry."

Now that it is settled, we can begin the long climb back to rebuild the Conservative Tsunami. We did it once and we can do it again. We cannot fall back asleep at the wheel...again - like we did during the "other" Bush and 8 years of that idiot Clinton.

We take this war, one trench; one hill; one battle at a time. The first trench to forge is the repulsion of voting for McCain. The next few trenches to forge and the next few hills to take will be to replace socialist democrats and republicans in the Lower House. This means YOU must get involved on the local levels of your communities and the state levels. There are quite a few seats up for grabs in the Lower House this time around.

If John McCain becomes the next President and he chooses a conservative running mate and that running mate lives up to the conservative movement's causes, we have a shot at reigning in the Conservative Movement for several generations.

With Hillary in the White House; with Obama in the White House; their running mates will be more left than they are and you might as well burn the Constitution of the United States, head to the hills and hunker down because the Islamotards will run amok within our own borders. Why? Because they are already here...pay attention.

CAIR and CAIR backers, namely, Hamas and Hizbollah proponents are routing for Hillary and Obama and they have openly stated that Sha'ria Law WILL BE the Law of the Land in the USA by 2050. Do you want that?

If so, stay at home with your pansy-ass whining self and don't vote. Just don't expect me or other Warriors to come to your rescue. We will be too busy for you.

If John McCain becomes the next President, he will NOT pull the troops out of Iraq or Afghanistan until the job is done. Hillary and Obama have both said that they will do just that. Will you be able to sleep with yourself knowing that our troops fought in vain because YOU stayed home? Do you want to see the Middle East collapse into the bloodiest civil war ever in the history of this planet?

The Killing Fields will be but a decimal point in a sentence in comparison.

If Hillary or Obama bring the troops home an pretend that they care, Al Qaida will unite with Iran and they will take Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and then they will destroy Israel. At that point, the stage will be set to take Europe and attack the USA with impunity and believe me, they will have WMDs.

In recent days, the fools that wrote the NIE that stated that Iran wasn't a threat have recanted and said that they were wrong. So, go ahead and stay at home and don't vote with all of that at stake.

JOHN MCCAIN, BECAUSE THE ALTERNATIVE IS UNTHINKABLE

The title of this post is taken directly from Atlas Shrugs and in a round-about way, from Neocon News.

Approximately 35+ people were in the chat room during a Blog Talk Radio Show with Political Pistachio. The guest was Atlas Shrugs. Listen to the archive of that very important discussion. It will not be a waste of your time or energy. However, the show isn't what this post is about. It is about the Conservative Movement, John McCain and principles.

As I see it, the Conservative Movement was born out of the troubled times of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Double digits in regards to unemployment, inflation and mortgage rates of the American Economy of those decades nearly destroyed this nation. The Free Spirit movements of those days are dark shadows of our American Experiment and portents to be avoided...at all costs. The Conservative Movement was a response in a political ideology to those trying times and Ronald Wilson Reagan rallied the American People to a single cause...pride in America.

The key issues which gave birth to Conservatism or a return to Conservatism (Jeffersonian Conservatism) were the ever growing Soviet threat (MAD), sky rocketing inflation coupled with the dismal recession(s), nearly stagnated economic growth, soaring crime, massive oil shortages and extreme social disorder. On every issue of the times of yesteryear, Conservatism offered the solutions to the problems encountered from the socialist ideals and principles from previous Administrations. Conservatism offered Hope and Change...viable Hope and Change - tangible Hope and Change. The Conservative Movement completely disoriented and baffled the liberals of those days much like Conservatism sends the modern day Marxonian Progressive (liberal) of today into frenzied ad hominems because they have nothing of substance to offer the American people but sound bites. In those Reagan Presidency years, the self-induced problems wrought upon this nation by the then Liberals were cured and the failed Liberalism was defeated as is evidenced by two Presidential landslide victories and one sweeping Changing of The Guard in the House of Representatives and The Senate. In the following years hence, the Guardians of the Conservative Movement failed to keep a watchful eye and wolves in sheep's clothing entered the arena.

As Ronald Wilson Reagan inspired this nation with the Call To Action of Pride In America, Self Esteem, Personal Integrity, Faith In God, Small Government, States Rights, Patriotism and many more issues stemming from personal achievement, we find ourselves in a vacuum of Conservative leadership. We have been "waiting" for another Reaganesque leader to emerge. That has been a major flaw. While we sat on our rear ends consuming our time in superfluous nonsense of various sitcoms and similar inanities, the Leftinistra coalesced into a machine that rolled over the Conservative Movement.

The Conservative Movement is still alive and well but the vast majority are now at the keyboards and occupy the Blogosphere. To rebuild that Conservative Movement, we too must coalesce into one voice and band together and act as one to roll over the Leftinistra. Let's face it - we far outnumber the enemy camp and it will begin as we put into place Conservatives in the House of Representatives and the Senate on the federal levels. We must do the same at the state levels as well. When Conservatives face down the "progressive" on ideals and principles, the "progressive" loses every time. We haven't done that lately.

Conservatives believe in Truth and Honor whereas the "progressive" believes in nothing substantial and develops lies to describe the Conservatives in order to mask their own pathetic inadequacies.

The threats we face now - today - have different names, ideals and faces as the threats we faced then but, the threats now are just as real today, as they were then.

We can rebuild the Conservative Movement that our Guardians failed to secure. The Liberals of yore are not the same Liberals of today. Today's Liberal calls themselves Progressive - the Marxonian concept of progress - and have moved to the Far Left. (decide for yourself where you stand politically or let someone else decide for you...your choice)

If not us - who? If not now - when?

As for principles, I have heard many proclaim that they will not vote for McCain because they cannot go against their principles. Whereas I relate to their angst, I find that attitude faulty. What good are principles when the alternative to McCain is either Barack Obama, a staunch Marxist or Hillary Clinton, a Budding Leninist? Will a principled Conservative - one that despises the very thought of socialism, fascism, communism - hand the nation's Presidency to such anti-Americanists such as Barack or Hillary? Both candidates of the Leftinistra are no more qualified to run this nation than Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid are.

I have my principles as well and I cannot automatically cast a vote for the Leftinistra by staying home and not casting a vote at all anymore than I can actually cast a vote for Hillary or Barack. Either way, it is a vote for socialism and that goes against my Conservative Principles. The battleground is now, once again, at the local and state levels and placing Conservatives in Congress. In this election soon upon us all, it will test those Conservative Principles.

Do we let the "progressives" win to prove a point and spend decades crawling out of Carteresque idiocy or do we "settle for" McCain and concentrate on Congress for the next 8 years? This isn't about 4 years of Barack or Hillary - not in the long run. If either "progressive" wins the White House and a Conservative emerges afterwards - after the fact - like Reagan did, do we really want to take 20 years to climb out of the Progressive Sewer? With an enemy that has sworn to our destruction knocking on our doors? Can you live with that?

I cannot.

The Most Influential Person of the 20th and 21st Centuries

Not one American Presidential Aspirant in the current political arena comes close to holding a candle to Ronald Wilson Reagan. The closest men we had aspiring to the Presidency are Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter. All others can only dream as such.

Why do the Leftinistra so dislike men of steel, men of moral fortitude? Why do they cater to the enemies of the bastion of freedom, the United States of America? Why is that? Why have the alleged conservatives turned their backs on their calling? What is that all about anyway?

What America needs is another Ronald Wilson Reagan. Regardless of one's personal and/or professional politics, one should have the personal integrity and moral fortitude to admit that President Ronald Wilson Reagan was the most influential person of the 20th and 21st centuries whether believing in his politics or not. He was a visionary second to none in that era and history has proven this to be so. President Reagan set the pace for demonstrating strength in the face of adversity. I was a witness to the brilliance of this man, the most powerful and influential President our country and the world may have ever seen.

President Reagan was labeled a cowboy by his foreign enemies and fellow citizens of the United States, mostly his opposition in the political arena. In the face of unsightly opposition at home amongst the political hacks, on all fronts, of that era, President Reagan stood his ground. He shared his dreams and using his extremely effective powers of persuasion, emerged victorious in many areas, in spite of his critics, whether Independent, Democratic or Republican opposition.

President Reagan's Tax Relief Reforms, Domestic Policies in regards to Welfare and other similar programs, and his build up of the depleted and near ineffective Military Apparatus was very controversial but he pushed his agenda forward anyway, to the betterment of the United States and her citizens as well as her allies. One of his agendas was the political defeat of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) which brought about the unification of East and West Germany, desecrated and divided up after WWII, as well as averting a military confrontation with the USSR, a nation possessing nuclear armament. I can still remember and hear President Reagan's words to President Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev...

"...Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"...

...as the rumblings of the collapse of East Germany, the DDR (German Democratic Republic) came to the forefront. Shortly thereafter, the Berlin wall came tumbling down. President Reagan brought this event to pass.

President Reagan was evangelistic in the way he made his points of view public to the American people and the world, via speeches, State of the Union addresses and Radio America broadcasts. His enigmatic personality traits brought about the dashing of Fidel Castro's Cuban hopes and aspirations for Caribbean conquest with the invasion of the island of Grenada, to rescue American students on the verge of being hostages taken by Cuban troops.

President Reagan was able to shed the Paper Tiger stigma given to America after the Vietnam fiasco...a political police action run by cowards and spineless men. This was a rough road and an unpleasant journey for America but the journey was accomplished. The road to shedding the Paper Tiger stigma began with the successful release of American hostages from Iran, seemingly within hours of his Inaugural Address. I remember explicitly this event, first hand.

Yes, I believe President Ronald Wilson Reagan to be the most influential person of the 20th Century. And, I also believe that only such a man can save America from itself.

As we rebuild the Reagan Era Conservative Movement, let us always remember what we all, collectively, let all that we built slip by while we slept and by our lack of action and dedication to The Cause, we effectively said to the creeping socialist rule, "This too shall pass."

A History Lesson In American Patriotism

Hat Tip to Hot Air...in the movie "Charlie Wilson's War", it is said that there are many witty slogans and slinky quotables. This is one of them in regards to defeating the USSR in Afghanistan.

"We won because there was no partisanship or damaging leaks."

This is due primarily to the American "Can-Do" spirit which is all but eviscerated from our political idiots in this country. It is also due to the unwavering Patriotism that was still very much alive but has been nearly buried in recent decades. Thank God there is a resurgence of American Patriotism that is now permeating our society and squashing the anti-Americanist groups such as the leadership of the DNC and their moppets such as Code Pink and similar dweebish moonbats.



I read the piece at the Opinion Journal and whereas the above quote is indeed indicative of the times, then, I found another that is all too near and dear to me.

I find it interesting as I read the "progressive" tripe from those that are trying, in vain I will add, to discredit America's best President we have ever had since George Washington.

I lived through Reaganomics and I lived through some of the most profitable years this country has ever experienced. I witnessed the revival of American Patriotism and the defeat of the Evil Empire of the former USSR.

The allegations as set forth by the likes of Bob Herbert, Talk Left, The Carpetbagger Report, Lean Left, Bark Bark Woof Woof, Lawyers, Guns and Money, and the Washington Monthly, all I can think of is the thought that these people are drunk on the talking dulls of the insignificant and uneducated. I dare say that none of these people experienced in real time the Reagan Conservative Revolution. If they did, they hated it because the Leftinistra lost at every turn.

Daniel W Drezner: seeing that the NY Slimes has decided to mock the blogosphere and the opening volley is railing against the Venerable RWR, Daniel is starting a "Mimic the New York Times Op-ed Columnist Contest". Have at it and have fun.

The socialists at Talk Left seem to think that their fellow socialist Herbert has a great piece out...that figures. RWR pretty much single-handedly trounced into oblivion their heroes of the USSR.

It all boils down to this. Should another Reagan Era Conservative come up to the plate in 2008, the Leftinistra are finished in this country for yet another 30 years. This is what they fear the most. I have been watching this fear unfold for the last 6 years. This is a distraction technique, aimed at the ignorant, knowing that their audience is a captured audience in that their audience doesn't know any better.

The Leftinistra MUST paint the picture that a Reagan Proponent is a racist therefore, vote the Party of Socialism, the Democratic Party.

The Lean Left crowd has obviously been partakers of the Socialist Elites (Progressives) and cannot be trusted to pee in the toilet let alone conduct a rational train of thought.

The Rabid Socialist Hounds Barking and Woofing up the wrong tree, as usual, most assuredly are against states rights...socialists cannot accept that credo.
