This Isn't Good News For Obama

Kucinich is obviously bowing out seeing that he hasn't a his pal Ron Paul.
Representative Dennis Kucinich urged his Iowa followers today to select Senator Barack Obama as their second choice at the caucuses on Thursday if his support is not strong enough to be viable in the 1,781 precincts across the state.

"Senator Obama and I have one thing in common: Change", Mr. Kucinich said in a statement today. (Read the rest)
And we all know what that change is, don't we? Islamic Socialism. I know they don't advocate that but it is due to their ignorance of the Jihadi Threat that they inadvertently, due to BDS, support it in the long haul.

In other news:
Breaking: Kucinich urges supporters to make Obama second choice

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, an antiwar Democratic presidential candidate, just announced he is urging his supporters to make Sen. Barack Obama their second choice during Thursday's Iowa caucus.

This will give Obama a boost in some precincts because the caucus rules (explained in my story in today's paper) require candidates to meet a 15 percent or higher viability threshold. If they don't, the supporters for that candidate must reorganize to join another candidate.

Kucinich, who failed to reach the viability threshold in 2004, let his supporters go to then-Sen. John Edwards. As Obama and Edwards battle with Sen. Hillary Clinton for the top spot in Iowa, the antiwar vote could help Obama Thursday night.

"This is obviously an 'Iowa-only' recommendation, as Sen. Obama and I are competing in the New Hampshire primary next Tuesday where I want to be the first choice of New Hampshire voters," Kucinich said in a statement. (read the rest)
Please note that the term "antiwar democrat" is actually meant to be anti-military anti-Americanist. Read that as socialist. The profile is all too telling.

If I was Obama, I wouldn't want a socialist UFO spotter and MacClaine occultist supporter supporting me. Kucinich threw in with Edwards in 2004 and how did that end up?

Rest Easy, Friend, Patriot...Major Andrew Olmsted

My friend, fellow soldier and blogging soldier, Major Andrew Olmsted, was KIA yesterday in Iraq.

He was killed defending a village under threats from rabid murdering Men of Peace. The village was primarily composed of innocent women and children. So brave these Men of Peace are.

Some time ago, he composed a blog entry to be posted upon his death. That post is at Obsidian Wings and at his own web site, Andrew Olmsted.

Rest in peace, Soldier.

I include a poem located in the comments section of Confederate Yankee.

The soldier stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Damn, how I hate Islamic murdering shits.

An Obligatory Post On Ron Paul In Iowa

MAJOR Hat Tip to Redstate. The beginning of the post threw me for a loop momentarily and I was soon relieved that my former impression of the contributors over there are still favorable. Just for a few moments, I thought someone had slipped some LSD into the various drinks of choice they partake of. This is the Headline that drew me in like a lamb to slaughter:

Media Conspiracy Refuses to Cover Almost 30,000 votes for Ron Paul

OMG!! Go to Redstate and read the entire post. You will see what we and others have been saying for a very long time. As for myself, I have the disadvantage of having known all about the Fraud That Is Paul for at least 14 years.
As of this moment, the zionist neocons in the media are claiming that Ron Paul has finished next to last in the Iowa Caucuses, and that he is trailing the imperialist Bush lackey pig Mike Huckabee by almost 30,000 votes. However, we at RedState have learned from reliable sources that there is a media conspiracy afoot to not report votes for Ron Paul! That's correct, although Ron Paul actually received over 40,000 votes, we have reason to believe that the corporate media is simply refusing to report on the last 30,000 votes that Ron Paul received so that they do not have to mention Ron Paul's name over their capitalist pig airwaves anymore. [...]
Good God Almighty...LOL!!

I used to drink quite heavily and stopped in 1999. THAT paragraph ALMOST sent me to the store.

The Last (ya sure) Ioway Post

(see previous Iowa Caucus posts at ANO here and here. Also see Snooper's blogs of choice for comments on the Iowa Caucus here.)

After the BTR show with Melanie Morgan and then Jenn of the Jungle, I surfed the networks and cable news and searched (not hard to do) the internet for the Iowa Caucus bloggers. Good thing I have a reader...saved hours and hours o searching.

Captain's Quarters has two posts up, one for Democrats and one for Republicans.
Hillary Clinton has run into a serious buzz saw on her way to the coronation. [...]

[...] Fred Thompson and John McCain, at this moment, still struggle for third place. McCain just needed a significant showing for his upcoming battle in New Hampshire, but Thompson needed a third-place finish just to keep his credibility alive. [...]
In the Washington Wire, they mention that Ron Paul won over Rudy by 3 to 1. So what? Rudy stayed OUT of Iowa...he pretty much has the Big Coastal states to play in. Ron Paul campaigned in Iowa and Rudy did not. Without campaigning, Rudy beat out the lower tier Democrats whaich DID campaign in Iowa. Ron Paul's "win" is still a loss. He didn't place.

Michelle Malkin warns that there may be lawyers about because of the record numbers of democrat and republican voters. Posts were abandoned and some didn't vote due to the time it would have required to stay and vote and there was no place to sit.

Ray Robison is pissed off at the media and he has good cause. The media has the usual blah blah blah and the sometimes inane additional blah blah blah stuff going. Then again, what would we expect from such impish cretins that have long ago abandoned the ethics in journalism? If one were to read links I placed in this paragraph back to back, an amazing picture is drawn. Let me know what you see.

Over at memorandum, there are skads and heaps of places to go to read a countless amount of inputs, bloviating, whining and caterwauling about one thing or another and that is a good and a bad thing.

Obama seems to think that he is the next President already. This just shows the lack of experience. He says that one caucus has given him a Mandate For Change. I one way it has. Iowans don't want Czarina or the Breck Girl or the others that have dropped out today due to poor performance. The poor thing thinks he can end the War In Iraq and he bloviated all about it, giving hope and energy to the enemy ibn the process of accepting the coronation of Iowa. He wants to end the world's poverty and genocide. What he didn't say was just how in the hell he is going to accomplish all of that and who is going to pay the bill on that tab.

I now agree with SonLit...Obama may not be as evil as Hillary is but he is more sinister, ignorant and dangerous to America. Hillary is just plain evil.

Huckabee had quite a good round of sound bytes as well but they are not the warning flag signs of danger that Obama was rambling out.

The Ioway Caucus Post...

Well? Were we right or what?

So far, at 0115 hours EST...100% of the precincts for the DNC and 87% of the precincts for the GOP reporting in...

GOP: Huckabee; 34.4%. Romney; 25.2%. Thompson; 13.4%. McCain; 13.1%. Paul; 10%. Giuliani; 3.4%. Hunter; 0.4%. Tancredo; 0.00%.

It is Good that Thompson came in third. This is a must for him. Now the media will HAVE to at least give him some recognition and perhaps the whiners about the "fire in the belly" crap will STFU now. The "fire in the belly" Mitt didn't win. Fred Thompson is doesn't need "fire in the belly"...heartburn is not a requirement. I wish Duncan had placed better but he doesn't have Paultards and for good reason.

In the end, Fred will take the nomination and Duncan will be the running mate. Ron Paul is a flake and you must GO HERE to witness Cape Boy matching wits with man in a Mouse Suit arguing about Ron Paul.

DNC: Obama; 37.6%. Edwards; 29.7%. Clinton; 29.5%. Richardson; 2.1%. Biden; 0.9%. Others; 0.1%. Dodd; 0.00%. Gravel; 0.00%. Kucinich; 0.00%.

Out of the Leftinistra running, the ONLY ones remotely qualified to run the country are Biden, Kucinich and Dodd. Imagine that. Collectively, they only got 3% of the Ioway votes. I find it interesting that DNC "others" scored higher than the Chief Nut Kucinich and Gravel. This shows us that the Democratic Party has just about reached its self-implosion zone. Seriously.

Watch the arrows fly in the DNC contests...more so than the GOP.

Tonights' results were pretty much predicted here .

Redstate calls it I-DAY!!

All eyes are looking towards Iowa! Why is that? And, who decided it and when? What's the mystery behind the Caucii across the country? At any rate:
[...] For over a year, there have been speeches, debates, polls, spin, prognosticating, spin, gladhanding, media coverage, and more spin. Today, for the first time in this year's election, votes that matter will be cast and counted. [...]
NY Sun:
[...] For Senator Clinton, second choice matters. One of the former first lady's top obstacles heading into tonight's Iowa caucuses could be the peculiar nature of the vote itself, in which supporters of a candidate who fails to reach a 15% threshold in each precinct must turn to another contender. [...]
And that will make Czarina furious, won't it?

NY Sun:
Iowa Republicans will caucus this evening in the wake of a startling turnaround in the electoral fortunes of John McCain. A new poll from Pew Research places the Arizona senator, whose chances have been written off repeatedly in the last 12 months, as the national Republican front-runner for the first time in a year. [...]
Methinks folks are starting to wake up and realize just how important the November elections are going to be for the very survival of this country as a Federal Republic on which it was formed and intended to remain.

Somewhere down the line, like in FDR's Raw Deal Socialist Hay Day Era, something went awry and we need to fix this before the die-hard Socialist Democrats and Socialist Republicans screw it up but good.

The NY Sun is all over this stuff:
[...] Looking buoyant and rejuvenated by new polls showing him atop the Republican presidential field, Senator McCain of Arizona returned to Iowa yesterday to see if he can pull out a respectable showing in a state his campaign had all but written off. "We are now obviously down to the wire," Mr. McCain said, moments after a supporter, Senator Brownback of Kansas, announced the news about the recent surveys. [...]
OH! The agony of it all! (cutesy outtakes from the Presidential Aspirants...damn joke) What a freak show this has turned into.

Front Page Magazine:
With the primary and caucus season finally - and mercifully - upon us, an intriguing picture is coming into focus, one that will either continue a recent pattern or return us to an earlier period in American history.

On the Democratic side, the polls show a trio of senators - Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards - leading nationally or in early-voting states. Senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd and Governor Bill Richardson trail not-so-close behind.

On the Republican side, the polls paint a very different picture. Two governors and a mayor - Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani - lead a pack of senators and congressmen. [...]
LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS! OH! MY!! I am way past being underwhelmed by the laughing stock political sideshow. All we need now is for the Bearded Lady to show up and spit flames and watching her beard flame out. Is 2008 over yet?

Naturally, we can always ask Aunt Sophie...I am not sure about reposting rules at FPM so you will have to go there and take the test as to which political slant you bend with. It just might surprise you.
Dear Aunt Sophie,

I always vote in primaries but this year I'm having a terrible time deciding whom to vote for. I've registered as a Democrat, but I think I'm more of an independent since I don't hate right-wingers all that much. How can I figure out how to vote?

Uncommitted unaffiliated non-ideological free thinker

Dear Thinker,

For some reason, Aunt Sophie has been deluged with letters like yours lately. Since she is unable to respond to so many requests individually she has devised this questionnaire to help independents like yourself with the arduous task of making up their minds.

Good luck and God bless.

Answer each question (1) Strongly agree (2) Agree somewhat or (3) Could be persuaded to agree [...] (I wish I had thought of this)

The Leftinistra Cringe As The Conservative Tsunami Swells

Some CapQ readers have pointed to the latest numbers from Zogby in Iowa as a harbinger of a Fred Thompson surprise for tomorrow's caucuses. In their daily tracking poll, conducted by traditional telephone surveys rather than on-line polls, Zogby shows a significant bump in support over the last three days -- enough to tie Fred with John McCain for third place:

Al Gore and Other Global Warming Hysterics Unavailable For Comment

"A hard freeze expected in parts of Central Florida early Thursday will bring a chance of snow flurries in Daytona Beach and other areas as temperatures drop into the teens and low 20s."
There are also reports of more of the same.

Daytona, FL has a history of warm weather and this comes as quite a shock to the area residents.

"There will be clouds that are similar to the clouds that are generated in the Great Lakes states when we have lake-effect snow," Local 6 meteorologist Larry Mowry said. "I'm going to call for the possibility of snow flurries early Thursday morning near the coastline."
The local-folk are stocking up for the duration and there is apparently no relief in sight.

"Mowry said residents in Daytona Beach, Titusville, Palm Bay and Melbourne may see the snow flurries Thursday."
The people of Ocala, FL are battening down the hatches and just may have to close the interstate.

The hard freeze warning was issued for areas north of Interstate 4 and counties located south of I-4 were under a general freeze warning.

Temperatures were expected to drop to 19 degrees in parts of Ocala early Thursday.
Never before have these Floridians been so viciously attacked.

"There is really a bite in the air," Mowry said. "With those strong winds out of the northwest, we are not going to warm up a lot Wednesday."
More news at 10, if the area survives the storm.

Al Gore was unavailable for comment.

That is all.

Many of the freeze warnings will begin at 1 a.m. Thursday and end at 9 a.m.
Brace yourselves and render assistance when asked.

Thank you and good luck.

The Kennedys and Their Love of Communists

The Kennedys are just plain treasonous. It must run in their blood. Back in July, we brought you some background on the propensities of the Kennedy Traitors towards communism and other anti-American activity. We linked to this place and utilized data from here as well. Just a few moments ago, Jamie Wearing Fool popped up with this story here:
ROBERT Kennedy Jr. has reportedly become an adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin on cleaning up the environment. Kennedy, now in Aspen with his family, is said to have offered Putin his expertise in cleaning up the terrible pollution in Russia during a trip to Moscow last year. The founder of Riverkeeper also told restaurateur Nello Balan he's interested in running for Sen. Hillary Clinton's seat when it becomes vacant.
JWF adds this link to further your studies to the treasonous Kennedy hacks.

What is up with this? Have they bought Hillary's victory so soon?

Breaking: Republicans Rebounding

Well? Haven't we been tellin' y'all?

From the Captains' Quarters just a few moments ago.

Surveys in 2006 saw an erosion in Republican Party affiliation that opened the gap between the major parties from 1.6% to over 6%, favoring Democrats, by the end of the year. Twelve months later, the performance of the Democrats while controlling Congress has almost completely reversed the trend. Rolling into 2008, Rasmussen shows that Republicans have their highest share of affiliation since January 2006 and only trail Democrats by two points... [...]

[...] The realignment comes at a "startling" time, Rasmussen notes. The report also suggests this as a reaction to the performance of Democrats in Congress. Nancy Pelosi has only a 38% approval rating, compared to 49% at the start of the year, suggesting that independents have lost confidence in her leadership, and possibly some Democrats. They note the sharp increase in December as a corollary to the improving confidence in the war on terror, which also suggests that the electorate may exact a price on Democrats for their strident defeatism throughout most of 2007. [...]

[...] After losing their first national election in four cycles in 2006, it looks like Republicans could rebound in 2008. They have the momentum, and they have closed the gap almost to where it was in November 2004. A few more months of Democratic incompetence in Congress could close the gap altogether.

Go read the rest. Like SonLit said, we are in for a ride!

"Sudden Jihad Syndrome"

Pat Dollard has a must-read piece here: check it out; your life may depend on it.

[...] "Oftentimes, these attackers are dismissed as suffering from mental health issues, but their own words and writings reveal an affiliation with Islamic supremacy or an affinity for Islamic extremism," said the report, which was distributed to federal, state and local law enforcement in Texas. "As a result, law enforcement should not be too quick to judge their attacks as having no nexus to terrorism." [...]

AS 2007 drew to a close, embarrassed journalists sought to play down American military successes and avoided questioning Democratic presidential contenders about their predictions of inevitable failure in Iraq.

Magically, Iraq disappeared from the headlines - except on those rare occasions when a problem could be reported. At the close of a year of stunning progress, media stories on New Year's Eve leapt to report that 2007 had been the deadliest year for US troops. (read the rest)

Rudy and Edwards Throw In The Towel

Rudy and Edwards dropped out last night and Rudy threw in with McCain, two peas in a pod in my estimation. I do believe that Edwards will throw in with Obama. The alternative would be "Rather" distasteful I am sure.

Susan Duclos has a good analogy here at Wake Up Americans.
[...] The people who have dropped out recently, Fred Thompson, Dennis Kucinich, Giuliani, last night and now John Edwards, have all done so because they realized that the time had come, they understood that for whatever reasons, their campaigns were not catching fire and no matter the support you get online, or the money collected, sometimes it just does not translate into the votes needed to win the nomination for your party.

It is called realism and it is time Ron Paul, who took only 3 percent in last nights Florida primary, to face reality and do the same.... drop out with some dignity instead of being forced out. Of course he has no plans to do so, but some can face reality and some cannot I guess.

The field is set, the top tiered candidates are, for the GOP, McCain, Romney and Huckabee and for the Democrats, Clinton and Obama.

Super Tuesday, my birthday, will be a hell of a ride.... [...]
Happy Birthday Susan!

I, Snooper, have not yet thrown in with any candidate yet but I will so aver that it won't be either Hillary or Obama whether by direct vote or the cowardly "stay at home and not vote vote".

As we at ANO have so stated repeatedly, this is going to be a bumpy ride.

The Well Is Dry

Remember the Dust Bowl? McRomniani is that well - that Modern Dust Bowl - of ideological dishonesty and betrayal of the Conservative Movement. This piece has been inspired by an article emailed to me by Stormin' Norman. The article is entitled;

A very grand question that. The article deals with the term "growth" being tossed about and we all know that people, places and things can only grow so much...there are limitations to growth. It is a great read but that is not what this piece is about. This piece is about how dry the theoretical political conservative leaders have become - how so far out in their own little world they have stepped out into.

I just heard about how ILLEGAL aliens, that pay taxes(??) are going to get their "fair share" of the non-stimulus stimulus package "refund/rebate". Compassion, as growth, can only go so far. The Talking Dolt - a socialist political hair-ball - said that this measure is supported by "Democrats", "Republicans" and "The White House" so, "What is the problem with this?" "It is bi-partisan." And? So what? Because our CONgress Critters and our Compassionate Conservative(?) President says so, it is so? We The People, say no and We The People, in accordance to the United States Constitution, call the shots and dictate TO those that rule us - by our consent - and not the other way around.

The problem, cur, is this: the American people spoke up not all that long ago and said HELL NO to Shamnesty and we said HELL NO for a reason...We The People - the CITIZENS - of this country DISAPPROVE of and wholeheartedly reject the notion of rewarding ILLEGAL aliens anything that a CITIZEN does not receive. What part of this is not understood? We do not care if they "pay taxes". If they "pay taxes", we have their personal data and know where they live...deport them IMMEDIATELY! They are here ILLEGALLY, making them CRIMINALS.

This is but a mere facet of the Modern Ideological Dust Bowl...where is the Constitutional Authority in rewarding ILLEGAL aliens that which American citizens are barred from? What is wrong with this picture? I have referred to such utter nonsense as the Cultural Jihad, not to be confused with the Global Cultural Jihad by the members of the Religion of Pieces, led by the murderous Thug, Moe and his cult god known as allah.

The Conservative Movement has been betrayed by the likes of the McRomniani Trio and the Huckabee Mole and the Ron Paul Space Cadet Academy drop-out. The only true-to-form but not quite up to true par conservatives were, in my humble opinion, in this order, Gilmore, Hunter, Thompson. All three, creating great fear within in the Drive By Media and fellow socialists in this nation, were set aside as dross much to the chagrin of the citizens of America. What we have now are Obama, a socialist; Hillary, a budding Leninist; Romney, a liberal conservative that sold out to win a "conservative" governorship in Socialistchusetts; McCain, a RINO; Huckabee, with socialistic tendencies. All five current Presidential Aspirants are Big Government advocates, plain and simple.

Gilmore is now running for the Senate in Virginia. There are rumors that Hunter may make a bid for Governor of Kaliphornia. Thompson, also as rumor holds, may make a bid for Governor of Tennessee. As I see it, the Conservative Movement War being waged here at home must be fought for and won in the Congress and at the State and Local levels of government. Should the Conservative Movement be reasserted at these levels, any socialist or socialistic President will be a powerless and moot point and will lead by Figurehead only.

The Conservative Movement is not dead much like the FDR liberal mindset is not dead. Unlike the FDR liberals, the conservatives were too busy working and providing for their families and fell asleep at the wheel - were not paying attention to the Creeping Liberal Fascism as it came springing to life with the advent of the Clintonistas. We need to awake from our deep sleep of inaction and inattentiveness and renew the Conservative Movement and move it into prominence once again as we did in the Reagan years.

Perhaps, as was overwhelmingly obvious even to the oblivious, as it was presented in the aftermath of the Carter years, the Conservative Movement will take the helm. Perhaps that is what American Conservatives need at this point - another Carter-like quagmire because that is where we are heading with placing either of the remaining Presidential Aspirants into the White House. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

On an upbeat swing (I don't dwell in the realm of pathetic doom and gloom), Chris at MVRWC does have some "good news" in that no matter the GOP Big Nod recipient, the DNC hasn't a prayer and I agree. The reasons I agree vary but the end result is the same:
Polls are showing a major butt kicking at the hands of the democrats this year. Everywhere you look, they are telling of peril and republican banishment to the void. I know that some will disagree, but I don't think that this year you can read a lot into them. For the first time in 80 years, we don't have an administration member running for president. The closest is Hillary who was there 8 years ago. We don't really know who the nominees will be. Yeah, we have an idea, but until 2/5 anything can happen. Let's face it, we have a divided electorate and it's going to be close no matter who gets the nominations. In the last 2 elections, the polls have bounced like crazy. [...]
They have the states listed and the delegate counts and the potential delegates yet to be dispersed. It isn't all doom and gloom. After all, we aren't emotionally unhinged like the socialists are on as regular basis now, are we?

A Hear here! to Blackfive at this time is appropriate:
This goes out to Michelle Malkin, Hugh Hewitt, Rush Limbaugh and the rest of those who now have the peasants all pitch-forked and torched up ready to take out the Maverick.

Since I am not a Republican or a conservative my advice may not mean all that much to you, but c'est la vie. Heck if Sarkozy can help the French make nice with the US, maybe a libertarian-leaning hawk can roost with true movement conservatives.

I am asking all of you to chill out and quit fanning conservative hate of John McCain. You can feature reader email outraged that the shamnesty King will destroy us all, but you all have spent months stoking those fires and made sure he was damaged goods.

So time to decide what's important to you, ideological purity or making sure we are not subjected to 8 years of President Obama. You can complain all you want about McCain's shortcomings, but how does he shape up against a true movement progressive. Obama's policies would be right at home here in the Mad City and unless Republicans field a candidate who can beat him, we will watch the socialism train travel around the country. [...]
There is some semblance of reason there...I don't 100% agree but the point is made just the same. That which I disagree with in the post from Blackfive is inconsequential. At this moment in time, anything presented by the GOP is a far cry better thing the opposition has to offer.

Stephen Maloney sees better than most in areas of politics and may or may not get his wish:
McCain: Choose Sarah not Mike!

The American Thinker, always on the cutting edge of causing folks to say, "Harrumph!":
At the end of the Bush administration conservatives need to clear their heads and think about the future. It's time to do some serious political philosophy. [...]
Ya think? Hell, I did that back in 1999! The only reason I voted for GWB TWICE is because I was assuredly not voting for Al Gore or John Kerry. I have been hoping that the RINOs in the RNC and the GOP would get their collective heads out from their collective buttocks but apparently, that isn't going to happen all too soon. I won't be voting for Hillary or Obama either by default by staying home or by physical vote.

Rasmussen match up:
Rasmussen: McCain 48, Hillary 40; McCain 47, Obama 41

American Power asks: Can McCain Unify the GOP? That remains to be seen. This is January...still. Perhaps the reasonable but sometimes salt-in-wound voice of Don Surber can lend some semblance of order amid the chaos: John McCain
Conservatives need to use this as a learning opportunity.

With his decisive win in Florida, following his decisive win in South Carolina, following his decisive win in New Hampshire, perhaps the candidate many of us did not want is about to become the Republican nominee. [...]

[...] I decided last summer to leave the decision up to the Republican Party, and then back the candidate.

My wise counsel in this is the philosopher who pens under the pseudonym Basil.

Bush was not his first choice in 2000. Dole was not his choice in 1996. Reagan was not his first choice in 1980.

I can do him one better: I voted for Carter. Maybe I should wear a T-shirt: "What do I know? I voted for Carter." [...]
Yeah. Me too. I voted for Carter. However, there is hope. Out in Kaliphornia, conservatives and Liberals alike outright rejected the socialist health care program and it went down in flames. As we witness 40+ years of Identity Politics came to a blood curdling crescendo, it is time for the Conservatives to once again "settle for" and work on that 218 Constitutionalist House Caucus thing. After all, even McCain knows the Global Threat of Islamic Jihad; mid-eastern illegal aliens nabbed in Mississippi aside. Even I don't think that McCain would go as far as tolerating that but the Leftinistra will, in the name of detente with the murderers of Islam.

With the obvious racists and bigots "on the other side" of the coin called fascist liberalism, we don't need to be equated with such shallow-minded we? With the cool, calm and collect Right Wing Sparkle chatter, who can resist? With Redstate opining about Electile Dysfunction...again...I cannot help but noticing the calm before the storm.

Sure, it has been said that McCain is the Democrat Party's favorite Republican but, at this pint, have they defeated themselves? Stranger things have happened. Others have said that the liberals wanted to have McCain as their opponents and the reasonings for this were numerous. It could be that perhaps, the enemies within would say, "Well McCain isn't a liberal but he acts like one so if you want a liberal, vote for Obama or Hillary." Now, there's a thought! Only time will tell.

I hope you like roller coasters.

Berzerkely Gone Normal! Attack the USMC!

This in from Move America Forward...
Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 SHAMEFUL: Berkeley City Council Attacks Marines!

City Calls Marines "Unwelcome Intruders"

SAN FRANCISCO - The City of Berkeley, California has passed two resolutions attacking the United States Marine Corps, calling the Marines, "uninvited and unwelcome intruders in the city."

The Berkeley City Council voted to condemn the Marines on Tuesday night (January 29th) as part of a campaign by anti-war activists to shut down a U.S. Marine Recruiting Center located in the city of Berkeley.

The votes by the Berkeley City Council were immediately condemned by Move America Forward, the nation's largest grassroots pro-troop organization.

"It is disgraceful that in the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement, anti-military activists would attempt to silence the same military men and women who serve this country and give their lives to protect the free speech rights of all Americans, including these ungrateful and despicable people on the Berkeley City Council," said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.

The actions by the Berkeley City Council followed continuous protests by Code Pink and other anti-military organizations that vandalized and defaced the U.S. Marine Recruiting Center in September 2007.

One of the two resolutions passed by the Berkeley City Council last night granted a parking spot in front of the Marine Recruiting Center to be used by anti-military activists to harass Marine recruiters. The anti-military activists would not need to apply for a sound permit for the next six months - allowing them free reign to disrupt the day-to-day operations by the Marines.

Move America Forward organized a counter-protest in support of the Marines last October that attracted over 400 pro-troop supporters who stood in solidarity of the Marine Recruiting Center.

"We have hundreds of thousands of military men and women serving honorably overseas to protect our freedoms. Imagine how they feel when they go to turn on the news and see that they are being stabbed in the back by shameful people here at home, it's disgraceful!" said Catherine Moy, Executive Director of Move America Forward.

Amazing! Code Pepto Dismal Fruit Loops...God forbid that we experience another 91101 but if we do, let it be in Berzerkely!

These Berzerkly pink-frilled anti-Americanists are the idiots who want us to retreat from Iraq because we are killing their friends. They hate the military and the GOP and Israel. And love illegal immigrants. They all should move to Iraq.

BREAKING: (sort of) Treason at the State Department

From Pajamas Media: Treason at the State Department: A Whistleblower's Story

The UK's Sunday Times recently broke the story of an FBI whistleblower kept from speaking publicly about a State Department official suspected of selling nuclear secrets. Annie Jacobsen digs a bit deeper into this shadowy tale and wonders why American media outlets have greeted the revelations with stunning silence.

Two weeks ago, the London Sunday Times broke an exclusive story about FBI translator-turned-whistleblower Sibel Edmonds. For five years, the U.S. government has prevented Edmonds from speaking publicly on what she knows, claiming State Secrets Privilege. The Times got the exclusive on the story, eerily titled "For Sale: West's Deadly Nuclear Secrets," by talking to a number of Edmonds' close associates who were not under a gag order, and by filling in pieces of the puzzle from Sibel Edmonds herself.

According the Times article, the U.S. government sought to gag Edmonds from revealing that corrupt government officials - specifically, State Department official Marc Grossman - were directly involved in the stealing and selling of nuclear secrets to foreign agents. In her role as translator, Edmonds listened in on, or translated, hundreds of secretly intercepted conversations between State Department officials and foreign nationals from 1996 to 2002. Unbelievable? I think not. Is it any wonder State is referred to as the Wimplomat Corp?

I don't give a Tinkers' Damn who this puke worked for...he needs to be flogged and then punished.
