A Letter From Iraq
Tuesday, February 13, 2007 2:18 AM
I have received this letter via email from a fighting man in Iraq. I have left the man’s email and name off for the obvious reasons. Just looking for some feedback and similar stories that our MSM will not print. Why won’t the MSM outlets print stories like this?
Hey XXXXXX, How are things going with you and the family? Good I hope.
There hasn’t been a whole lot going on here because the weather has been cold. These guys are pussies when it come to the weather so now that it is getting warmer out things are starting to pick up. More tribal disputes than anything and we are just trying to keep the peace.
The 2 guys that were in the hospital from the IED are doing well now and home with their families recovering. I don’t think they will be back over here but it is still early and they might be able to come back.
We have about 2.5 million dollars in projects going in our sector alone rebuilding schools and water purification stations and powerlines. All the basic needs that we take for granted. Gives me a good feeling doing these things and the people protect us from the bad guys. They have given up their own lives to save ours or the people in their villages by reporting roadside bombs and attacks and helping us track the enemy.
It is working over here in our area. I just hope they are strong enough when they put the squeeze on Baghdad. That is going to force those Bad Guys into our sector and I hope they are ready. I better go for now. I will talk to you later.
