Who I Am

WP, TH, ANO

I am a Reagan Era Conservative. I believe in less government and more power to make decisions at the State level. I believe in power vested in the people of the United States and not in the government. The government is to serve the people and not the other way around, thus, “We The People” and not “We The Politicians”.

It doesn’t matter to me one way or another if the Reagan Conservatives renew themselves within the Democratic or Republican Parties…just as long as the Reagan Conservatives are in power. Perhaps it will require a third political party to swing the Reagan Conservatives back into power and thus either reinstate the original Contract with America or take to heart and seriousness of the renewed Contract with America.

The American political arena has become a farce and there is much needed change and reform required in order to get the political machinations back on-line and on the original track. America, at one time was a Federal Republic which is to say, a representative form of government. America has degraded, politically, to some form of an oddly devised democracy similar to the British Empire form of democracy. Our politicians, in these modern times, are seemingly too busy posturing for political gain and position to either regain power and control or to maintain their positions in power and control to truly represent “We The People”. They seem to have gotten away from representing their people in their districts and states. This disgusts this American and it is indeed unacceptable. As a veteran of foreign wars, it is an appalling time.
My first five years on this earth, within the borders of continental America, was in the aftermath of the Korean Conflict. My most impressionable years were during the threats of nuclear annihilation from the USSR, et al, the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the assassinations of President John F Kennedy and the Reformist Martin Luther King Junior…and the shameful actions and misdeeds of our elected officials during the Vietnam Police Action. My young adult years were rather troublesome to say the least through the various crises brought about by those that would do America harm via outside influences and those within our own borders…flower children come to mind here. The birthing throws of the Islamic Jihadists came to the limelight in the early 70s.

Now, most recently in our young history, we have the Middle East extremists stirring troubles up and blaming others, mainly America, for their own inabilities and capabilities to ascertain their own directions and misguided assumptions…and to deal with them accordingly, like America has done and accomplished and is still learning and growing as experienced by her own mistakes.

America is the youngest country in our known world and is the most popular as well as the most hated country. Why is this? I have heard on various so-called news media outlets that there are those in the world that say, “Kill Americans!”

Why kill Americans? America welcomes with open arms, perhaps to her detriment, “…your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed.” Others hate America and love her for the same reasons…America cares. America prospers in the face of adversity, in spite of world opinions. America is industrial. America is a success story, born from frustration, persecution and oppression from years ago. Our heritage is a constant reminder of where and why we are. America knows the where and why so she naturally knows the how yet, she is still learning. The Spirit of America is the embodiment of Freedom…freedom to worship, freedom to amass wealth, freedom to be poor, freedom to travel and freedom to speak and the freedom to choose or elect our government officials.

America is not perfect. However, America strives for perfection, tries to make the world a better and safer place. America leads by example whether it is interpreted as good or bad. No other country in the written history of this planet called Earth has had the positive influences throughout the world, as we know it. America is the Champion of “What is Right”. America means Freedom. America leads the world in how to live in peace but America will also punish those which aim to do her harm and tend to try and destroy her Way of Life.

America should not be all about political parties whether they are Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Conservative, Liberal, Moderate, Left-wing, Right-wing, No-wing nor which one is in power. America should be all about working together towards a goal which leads to the furtherance of the common good and, the common good is the continuing saga of the American Success Story. There are members of the Political Farce Arenas which have forgotten about what America is about and posturing for Political Power is not it.

Yes, I am a Reagan Conservative and those years were the best in America’s history and, this is why I believe in America and what has formed my political slants. In recent times and events, my political slant has been verified and confirmed.

A Reagan Conservative would have won the last elections in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006 by landslides. A Reagan Conservative would have united this country instead of having it split nearly down the middle. America is more divided than it was before, during and after the Civil War we experienced in 1861 to 1865.

I believe in a return to the moral and religious principles and ideals that our Founding Fathers shared and espoused. I reject wholeheartedly the espousals of the current Democratic Party, seemingly led by Socialists. I reject wholeheartedly the espousals of the current Republican Party, seemingly led by a mixture of Libertarians and a smattering of Socialists.

We are a nation at war and party divisiveness, as was experienced in the 1960s and early 1970s, will be the downfall of this great country. A Reagan Conservative would be able to rally the nation together and unite this country.
